Dazzle like a Diva on Diwali! It is time we rejuvenate our skin with these simple home-made steps. Fruit pack: Fruits like banana, apple, papaya, avocado, oranges can be mixed and applied as a face mask for all types of skin Papaya: is rich in enzymes, cleanses the skin of dead cells and helps in cell renewal. Banana tightens the skin. Apples & Oranges: are rich in vitamins Avocado is rich in antioxidants. It hydrates the skin and has age control benefits. Apply and wash off after 30 minutes. Facial Spray: For acne prone skin, take 100ml distilled water, add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil, spray it on the face and leave it for 20mts. Rinse with plain water. Keep the spray bottle in the fridge and reuse it. Toner: Use green tree skin toner, which is a good antioxidant. Take half a cup water and add 2tsps of green tea. Bring the water to a boil. Put tea leaves in a ceramic bowl. Pour the hot water over it and keep for 2mts. Strain and cool the liquid. Apply on face with cotton wool to tone the skin. Body Scrub: The best body scrub is the old age ‘Ubtan’ made at home with wheat bran, gram flour, curd or cream of milk and pinch of turmeric. Mix all these ingredients and apply on the body. Keep it for 20minutes before bathing. It clears dead cells and makes the skin smooth. Remove Tan: Take sesame seeds, dried mint leaves, 1tbsp each of lemon juice and honey. Crush the sesame seeds coarsely and powder the dried mint leaves. Mix them with lemon juice and a little honey. Apply this on the face and arms. Sesame seeds have sun protective properties and also soothe sun damaged skin. It helps to remove tan. Mint: has a stimulating effect and adds a glow to the skin, while Honey moisturizes and softens the skin. Rub the above paste gently on the skin. Leave it on for a few minutes then ash off with plain water.
Corona Virus - Covid 19 There is no medicine, yet found for this virus except to prevent yourself from coming in connect with it. Thus, the lockdown in all the countries throughout the world. The people during this long stay at home and social distance are facing certain problems. With heavy food and inactivity people can get irritated and bored. They can suffer from the following - 1. Stomach problem which is the main cause of many ailments. 2. Anxiety & Fear 3. Mental tension - depression 4. Untimely sleeping hours- Schedule your sleeping hours. Keep your sleeping clock going. A lot of suggestions have been given by doctors and Ayurvedic experts to overcome these problems. Some of them I have been following and got good results. So, I want to share mine experience with my viewers. During this lockout you have sufficient spare time to study yours and your partners habits and compromise and enjoy each other's company. This will overcome your irritation and boredom. Persue your favorite hobbies which you not had time to do so far. Head Massage: Start your scalp massage at the hair line at the nap of the neck. 1. Massage – i) Grip the scalp firmly with the fingertips of both hands and, drawing the fingers together and apart with a slow pinching movement as you push up towards the crown of the head bring the circulation to the scalp. ii) Repeat 2 to 3 times and then move the fingertips to the hairline above the ears, again pinch up to the crown. iii) Then start from the front hairline and push backwards. This movement causes little actual scalp friction and is inclined to come out easily, and all conditions requiring scalp stimulation. This good for brain health Symtoms of disease seems to be cold, cough, fever and in next stage - irritation, inflamation with red eyes and tongue. Your food should be light during stay at home, to stay fit. According to Ayurveda, you can check if you have coronavirus or not. *Take a deep breath and try to hold your breath for 20 secs. If you can do it, you are not affcted with any virus.
Yoga is best remedy for coronavirus. You should do yoga exercises , streching and strengthening exercises for 1/2 hour every mornng. See my yoga page and select your befitting exercises for your daily workout. Pranayama - is a must to boost your health. Do the following pranayama and all your lockdown problems will be solved. To practice relaxing deep breathing: *Sit with your back straight, lie on your back or stand. Keep your tongue touching the roof of your mouth and hold it there for the entire exercise. Exhale through your mouth, then close your lips and (i) Inhale quietly through your nose to a count of 4. (ii) Stop and hold your breath for a count of 8. (iii) Exhale audibly through your mouth to a count of 7 Repeat steps ( i) through (iii) four times., then breathe normally. Keep in mind that while speed is important in stimulating breathing, in relaxing breathing, the timing ratio of inhaling to exhaling is more important than speed.

Put on mask and maintain distance from your relatives at home too. Wash your hands ith soap thoughly and frequently. 1. Do gargles with warm water and salt, twice. 2. Wash your hands after every 2 hours, and specially before eating 3. For sore throat - 2 clove (longe) spice crush it and make paste with honey. Keep it in a small container and lick it a little thrice a day. * Take a tumbler of warm water with 1/2 tsp lime juice, take a few sips of it during the day. *Put 1tsp ajwan and 3-4 leaves of mint in water and boil the water. Inhale steam of it. *Take Haldi milk , with a pinchof black pepper powder, to boost your immunity.
Arthritis can be treated by some of the Mudras such as Vaayu Shaamak (Vaayu decreasing mudra). According to Ayurveda the arthritic pains are caused by the increase of vaayu (wind) in the body, so to reduce it pressure is put on specific points on the fingers and form the mudras. The yoga poses and mudras can be synchronized with classical dance poses and mudras. To achieving your goal you should have a flexible healthy body. Mudras, Postures, eye exercises and facial exercises go to make you graceful and beautiful. Besides it, the breathing exercises attribute a lot to a healthy and beautiful body. You should be mentally as well physically healthy. All poses and mudras go a long way in rejuvenating and restoring weak parts of the body, says dancer Roja Kannan, “Mudras likeChinhamudra called Hamsasyam in dance, wherein the first finger and the thumb are joined together at the tips and the other three fingers are opened up facilitate the circulation of blood flow from the fingers to the other parts of the body while also having a calming effect on the mind,” she says, adding that arthritis, muscle degeneration, nervous disorders, tennis elbow, tendonitis, and knee ailments can be restored by dance therapy.
