Health Diet Tips for Brides

Health Diet Tips for the Brides
It is understandable that every bride wants to look perfect on her wedding day.
For some women, the last few months before their wedding can be most stressful, as they work extra hard to look their best.
Healthy eating tips and healthy skin help you to look the best on your big day.
1. Stress makes brides-to-be either to overeat or lose appetite and lose weight. Both these actions are bad for health. Follow the good eating habits.
2. Refined flour food such as roomali roti, nan, noodles etc. should be avoided as they make the body retain water and make you feel bloated.
3. Eat 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables in your diet.
4. Drink 2 glasses of fresh fruit and vegetable juice daily. This detoxifies the body and eliminates body odor.
5. Garlic, onions and mehthi are good for health and have certain aromatic substances that reduce armpit, mouth, and urine -stool odor.
6. Drink coconut water as least twice a week as its food for skin and digestive system. It also works wonders for your hair.

Stress makes brides-to-be either to overeat or lose appetite and lose weight. Both these actions are bad for health.
For healthy body, eat healthy and detox your body.
A Happiness and Good health go together - Food and Good Health are for beauty.

How to choose your food wisely and well? In fact, how you can eat your way to happiness and beauty?
Every woman can be beautiful and the greater part of that relies on vivacity sparkle, a lively mind and a sunny outlook ---- all this add up to health.
Your health is derived largely from the food you eat.

Food comes first in every woman’s beauty care, whether she’s dieting for extra vitality, or slimming for a lovelier figure, or just interested in maintaining a normal, balanced diet for the health of herself and her family.

For beauty you will spend hours and a lot of money trying to get your thick waist-line cut down, or that sagging neckline propped up, but it will not be an easy job even if it is partially effective.
Fruits (except plums and berries), lemons, oranges, leafy and other vegetables, coconut, fresh milk, sprouted food grains, dates, figs, and soaked dry fruits are alkaline.
Meat, eggs, cheese, butter, cooked food, chapatti, dry fruits, sweets, coffee, tea, chocolate, boiled milk, flour, salt, alcohol, soda, vanaspati, fried and baked foods are acidic.
Ayurveda says that wrong combinations of food are like poisons for the body.
Food in the stomach is digested through different digestive juices.
If both acidic and alkaline foods are eaten together, then their respective digestive juices will also be secreted together.
These then mix and lead to problems.
Protein, for example begins to rot.
Starch ferments and so on, disturbing the digestive process.
Buffer with a variety of foods is not a good idea.
Eat only one kind of food at a time, as the more variety you eat, the more your digestive system will find it hard to digest food.
Begin with fruits then have raw salads and vegetables. Finally, when this is digested, have whole grains.
Wrong combinations:
Never have the following together- banana or radish with milk or curd; milk with curd; honey with hot water (lukewarm is good); honey with radish; or khichdri with dessert.
Avoid milk with melons or cucumber.
Do not mix urad dal with radish; curd with jamun, melon or cheese.
Give a gap with fruits and cooked vegetables, and never heat curd. Do not mix pulses with potato.
Good combinations:
Mango and cow’s milk; milk with dates; rice with coconut powder; pulses or bathua with curds; leafy vegetables with starch; dry fruits with sour fruits; vegetables and pulses; basmati rice with vegetables; fruits and dry fruits; vegetables with chapatti.
Healthy soups and some recipes:
Make a ‘Plan for weight loss’ to create the smartest healthiest diet possible, it should be based on ‘eat more, lose more’.
Diet plan can help you tailor and look your best. Eat food that contains natural fiber and have lots of water and nature will take its own course in keeping you fit.
Diet should be simple healthy, nutritious and balanced, when you exercise, this will create a smooth flow of energy which circulates in the whole of the body to keep it healthy.
Exercise or any activity of the body needs energy and the energy is supplied by the food you eat.
Research has proved that the various foods work at the cellular level, especially antioxidants- rich fruits and vegetables - which are powerful medicine in the fight against cellular aging.
Tips for healthy eating:
It is predicted that eating more fruits and veggies makes improvements in positive mood the next day.
This shows that healthy eating has a direct impact on mental well-being.

Skin Tonics made of fruit pulp are excellent for the nourishment of your skin. Orange, melon, bananas and a dash of lime combined and applied consistently can help enhance the glow of your skin.

It is rightly said -‘Nature is the best beautician and the kitchen itself is a storehouse of many beauty ingredients.’
The benefits of kitchen ingredients are many like - Lentils, act as cleansers.
Dry fruits like Almonds brighten and nourish the skin.
Herbs like Basil and Sandalwood powder cool the skin.

Fruits like papaya and banana act as Softeners and Honey moisturizes the skin.
Scrub can be made out of Tomato, Cucumber and coarse powdered Rice powder.
If your skin is baby soft then take some grated Apple and mix in a little Honey and Milk. Wet your face by splashing some water on it, then massage the mixture into it using your fingers, moving in circular motion continuously.

*Try to know about yourself, your temptations; the emotional states that encourage you to snack this may help you lose weight once you see how much you eat.
*Instead of eating a piece of candy, brush your teeth. If you can’t resist, then eat only half a bite and throw away the rest.

*When hunger hits wait for 10mts before eating and see if it passes.
Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily. Take before meals it dulls the appetite by giving you that ‘full feeling’.
*Substitute activity with eating.
*If you are late night eater, have a carbohydrate, such as a slice of bread or a cracker, before bed-time to cut down the cravings. Keep an orange slice or a glass of water by your bed to quiet hunger pangs that wake you up.

Overcome damaging effects of sitting all day.
Most of us are aware that sitting all day at work is bad for one’s health, but this sedentary lifestyle could be slowly killing you. Up to 70% of deaths have been attributed to sitting. Here’s something that can help you overcome its damaging effects.
Exercise is the most obvious solution, ’but incorporating physical activity into just one part of the day isn’t enough to combat the damage caused by prolonged sitting, says Craig Horswill, an expert in exercise and metabolism in UIC’s (University of Illinois at Chicago) College of Applied Health Sciences. So, a more effective solution lies in continues movement while sitting as that can increase metabolism rate.
As part of the study Horswill and his colleagues compared the metabolic rate produced by three different workstations: seated at a desk, seated at a desk equipped with a device that stimulates leg movement, and standing at a desk. They found that modest movement while seated elevated the metabolic rate more than standing (by 7%), and had no detrimental effect on cognitive function.

Some health tips:
Reboots your fertility.
Research has proven that if you are trying to conceive then you should pay extra attention to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being physically fit. Here’s what you need to do.
1. Start with eating right: Too many of us are eating too late in the day or night. When we go to bed, we’re meant to digest our day, not our dinner: Eating at th right time is important as much as following a balanced diet, which is full of multi-vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C is important for women who are planning a baby as it significantly increases the pregnancy rate. Protein in your diet is also essential for your fertility as it helps maintain blood sugar balance. Make sure you include more salads and fresh fruits to your diet.
2. Don’t Sit; Go Out and Walk.
Walking is an ideal pre-conception exercise. It is a great cardiovascular exercise especially if you step to a reasonable pace. Apart from this, it also helps tone your legs, back and tummy. All these are very important in treating infertility as being fit is the most integral part of your conception plan. So, go for regular walks at least once a day.
3. Find Your Mental Peace.
Find a quiet place away from distractions. Clear your mind and focus on your breathing for 10-20 minutes. Try to do this daily, since it relaxes the mind and body. Listen to some soothing sounds or instrumental music to unwind and eliminate stress.
4. Keep a Check on Your Biological Clock.
As we age, our biological clock starts ticking. Women are most fertile in their early 20s and their fertility declines with age. From the age of 35, this fall becomes sleeper. ‘The more fertility aware you are the better it is, so that you can make an informed decision and be aware that it might take you longer to conceive. Don’t hesitate to seek professional help in case you struggle to conceive.
5. Pay Attention to Your Digestive System:
You can have a great diet, but if you have a poor digestive system, with inflammation, fermentation and poor gut function, the way everything functions in the pelvic cavity won’t be optimal. Eating foods rich in fiber will be helpful.

A correct balanced diet is an essential factor for good health.
Let your daily menu include fresh crisp salads, plenty of green vegetables, milk, butter, curds, cottage cheese, fresh and dry fruits, nuts etc. Your quota of vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates, starches must all be replenished to ensure health.
*A generous squeeze of sour lime juice with warm water taken as a morning ritual will purify your blood and wash away any extra poundage.
